I'm a Site Reliability Engineer with skills around linux systems administration, AWS cloud, infrastructure monitoring and systems performance. I also have experience with administrating hadoop clusters. I tend to follow practices which are embraced by the DevOps culture and I believe in automation of tasks which are repetitive in nature.
Linux system internals and application performance are the area of my interests. I am learning about Linux kernel and I have made several open source project contributions in the process. I also have proposed some changes that could help our application perform better under not so good network connectivity of clients. I want to educate myself further and apply the learnings to get the best out of platforms given.

Extensive experience with the configuration, hardening, and maintenance of various RedHat based Linux distributions.
I have setup whole infrastructure monitoring and metrics collection. Also have developed incident management and alerts escalations system.
Experienced with automating tasks using jenkins and AWS Lambda; config management using salt- stack.
--admin hadoop
Experienced with hadoop cluster administration. Have managed clusters with both CDH and HDP platforms. Also have done migration from CDH to HDP and worked on project to keep production cluster in sync with standby cluster. [HBase]
--admin cloud
Extensive experience with AWS cloud platform. Have worked with and automated various tasks using EC2, CloudWatch, Lambda and other services. Also have done autoscaling project for a client facing services with help of set of AWS services.
Also have worked on solutions to protect applications from Denial of Service attacks using web application firewalls and request pattern analysis.

As a developer, I have worked on several projects which mostly are web-apps in python. One of them was an app to generate offer letters of new joinees. Other was the interface to black-list IPs from accessing the infrastructure.
As a personal project, I also have developed a web-app that would allow two persons to watch a movie/video in sync by using websockets. Consider this as a movie date with your long distance partner. [Movie Night (alpha)]
